The Atlas Copco GA 30 is the 30 kW (40 hp) fixed speed oil-injected screw compressor at the top of the GA 15-30 series. Two branches share the platform: the GA 30 itself and the GA 30+ build with a larger compression element. The GA 30 ships as a floor-mounted package, with or without the factory fitted Full Feature dryer. Technical Specifications

Capacity follows ISO 1217, Annex C, Edition 4:2009. FAD is referenced to 7.25 bar on the 7.5 bar build and 8.25 bar on the 8.5 bar build. The 10 bar build references 9.75 bar, and the 13 bar build 12.75 bar. The official table lists tank-mounted columns as well; for the GA 30 those columns are printed as a dash, since the model comes only in the floor-mounted form.

The GA 30+ Branch

Behind the unchanged 30 kW (40 hp) motor rating, the GA 30+ mounts a larger compression element from the GA 30+-90 series. Its 50 Hz table reads as follows.

Output rises from 95.9 to 99 l/s (203 to 210 cfm) on the 7.5 bar build. On the 10 bar build it prints 83 l/s against 85.2, where the larger element trades a little flow for its different rating point. The branch also drops the work station reading from 70 to 66 dB(A). It adds 96 kg as a Pack and 166 kg with Full Feature, the mass of the bigger element and its oil circuit.

60 Hz Versions

For 60 Hz markets both branches appear under psig nameplates, measured per ISO 1217 with the footnotes and reference conditions of the 50 Hz tables.

Motor rating and sound levels stay identical across the two supplies. The 60 Hz packages of the plus branch weigh slightly more, at 643 kg and 813 kg. The base branch keeps its 530 kg and 630 kg figures on both frequencies. Installation drawings should follow the frequency actually ordered.

Pack and Full Feature Builds

The base GA 30 measures 1280 mm deep, 830 mm wide, and 1220 mm high on its floor-mounted frame. Choosing Full Feature extends depth to 1780 mm: the integrated refrigerant dryer, its filtration, and the condensate management ride on the same footprint width, wired and piped in the factory. At reference conditions the dryer holds a pressure dewpoint of 2°C to 3°C (36°F to 37°F).

The GA 30+ stands taller at 1790 mm on a 1310 × 890 mm base, and its Full Feature build extends depth to 1810 mm. An energy recovery module is offered across the series, routing compression heat toward water heating or process duty rather than the cooler exhaust.

Installation Footprint and Service Access

The 830 mm wide base package is the narrowest in its class and passes standard doorways whole. The gear-driven transmission needs no belts to tension and no couplings to align, and one synthetic oil circuit lubricates, seals, and cools in a single pass.

Routine service points gather behind panels that open to standing height. The Elektronikon Swipe controller reports service and warning indications, detects errors, and shuts the machine down when a limit is reached. An optional Elektronikon Touch adds remote monitoring and service time indications.
